Wouter den Dulk and Jasper Kok started this initiative with the idea of making consciousness development more accessible. Both searched from a young age for a deeper meaning in life and found it after a long journey. They want to make that journey easier for you. At the White Light Festival, you will find what you are looking for. What has always been inside you will reveal itself — in the sound of a mantra, in the smile of the person next to you on a yoga mat, in a beautiful text, in a surprising constellation, or...

We’ve worked to bring together different traditions. Not only East and West — you will find techniques from all over the world. So you can discover what resonates best with you, dive deeper into wisdom you didn’t know yet, and create your own journey. Expect truly deep workshops, wonderful relaxation, and beautiful concerts.

Castle De Berckt is a historic estate dating back to the 12th century, rebuilt in Italian style. It consists of an old monastery and a charming farmhouse, with a large hall where there’s a full program from early morning until late at night. There are also several smaller rooms with workshops throughout the day.

This makes the festival a free space where you can choose where to join in, day after day. You can fill your day with one deep session after another, or alternate — from a physically challenging yoga set to a super relaxing nidra session. Or you can retreat to your room or the meditation space, take a short walk along the Maas, or seek a higher vibration in a warm group energy — you can go in any direction.

There are over 400 beds, mostly in rooms for 4 or 3 people. If you’d like a double room, book quickly — these are very popular. If you’re coming with two or three friends, mention it on the contact page so we can place you in the same room.

From Utrecht, you can reach Baarlo by car in an hour and a half. There’s plenty of free parking. Public transport is preferred: take the train to Venlo, then a short bus ride to Baarlo.

The White Light Festival is powered by a large team of yoga teachers, trainers, educators, healers, and artists. Each contributes in the area of their talent and works from the heart to bring this beautiful project to life.

We are new this year — the “new kid in town” — but with roots in other events, giving us a strong start. Not only our team but also our partners — such as the Kundalini Yoga Club, The Breathwork Movement, YOGI TEA®, and many others — make it possible to create such a rich festival program.

We believe that spiritual development goes hand in hand with personal growth, that there is no single path or single way, and we love to support you in finding what works for you. Together, we will make it a transformative journey that leaves a lasting impression.
